Mom & Dad's thrifty attitudes + baby carrots + steam + chopper + little water = new texture

new texture + (formula / stomach for 2 hours previous) + gag reflex = puke

puke X 2.5 = mess

mess - mom's OCD = naked fun splashing in the bath 

naked fun splashing in the bath = later bed time

so homemade baby carrots = fun instead of bed time  ?
